Dr Geoff Hone
With
experience in training going back 30 years, Geoff got his BSc in Psychology
at Cardiff, followed by his PhD at Surrey (Depth perception and navigation
in simulator displays). The PhD was part sponsored by the Army Personnel Research
Establishment (APRE). He joined Cranfield (Applied Psychology Unit) in 1994
to work at the APRE as that body moved into DRA and thence into DERA. Moving
to Shrivenham in 1997 to work on a research project on the V&V of training
simulators, he also taught HCI, and elements of V&V and Command and Control.
From 1999 to 2002 he was the Research Director of the Department of Informatics
and Simulation (now Information Systems). Most of his publications relate
to Simulators and/or Training.
