Dr Anne Bruseberg
Anne is a Senior Human Factors Consultant at Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd (SEA). She holds a PhD in Ergonomics from Loughborough University, and a degree equivalent to an MSc in Human Factors Engineering from Dresden University, Germany. She has over 14 years experience in applied research in a variety of domains including aviation, defence, industrial design, and manufacturing industries.
At SEA, she primarily develops methodology and practical guidance to better support the HFI process, and to embed HFI in Systems Engineering. This includes developing Human Views for the MoD Architectural Framework (MODAF), support for writing people-related requirements, HFI planning and tracking, COTS assessment, and HFI cost justification.
Previously, she:
- developed human-computer interfaces for the Merlin helicopter at Lockheed Martin UK,
- provided HF support to fixed-wing cockpit certification including flight testing,
- researched collaborative work, human error, accident analysis, and HCI design in aviation applications,
- developed user-centred design approaches involving creative focus group techniques,
- researched training design for supervisory tasks in future automated mail-sorting applications (for the PhD),
- developed tools for assessing psychological states for job design, as well as
- ergonomic analysis and design of workstations
